Ukrainian Felinology Union


History FIFe in Ukraine began in 1992 and the first international exhibition of cats under the patronage of the International Federation Feline was in Odessa in April 1993. In those years, Ukraine was presented in FIFe by public organization Ukrainian Felinology Association, later recorded by us at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine (03.12.1999) as a National Organization (President - Sergey Minenko). Since 1993, Ukraine was under the patronage of FIFe and only in May 1998 in the General Assembly of FIFe in Bad Kissingene (Germany), was adopted as a full member of FIFe.
Since 1998 we began recording the names of catteries in FIFe. The Ukrainian Stud Book was made, which united the information about the breeding animals of clubs who were members at that time in the UFA, and identifying them with appropriate numbering, which continues to this day.
Since 2003, Ukraine is represented in FIFe by Ukrainian Felinology Union(UFU). The Statute of the UFU is registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine 02 January 2003 (President Severin Vadim Alexandrovich). Since 2006, elected president of the UFU Boyko Tatyana - a biologist, an international FIFe expert 1 and 2 categories of cats.
Activities UFU is based on the rules of FIFe, supplemented with its own programs:
  • maintaining a unified and centralized Stud book issuing pedigrees
  • control of the origin and breeding value of cats
  • arrangements for the exhibition
  • names of catteries in the secretariat FIFe
  • training of national and international experts, as required by FIFe

The supreme governing body of the UFU is the Conference, which convenes at least once a year. Between conferences, the supreme governing body of the UFU is the Council, which consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Vitce Sekretary and founders.
